Mª Pilar Salomón Chéliz is Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Zaragoza. Co-author of El pasado oculto. Fascismo y violencia en Aragón, 1936-1939 (Madrid, 1992) and author of the book Anticlericalismo en Aragón. Protesta popular y movilización política (1900-1939) (Zaragoza, 2002). Prof. Salomón’s research has been focused on contemporary Spanish anti-clerical mobilization, as well as the republican and labor sectors that were the protagonists. Prof. Salomón has also deepened the visions of Spain that defended these secularist sectors, a subject on which she has published numerous contributions in collective works, among which the co-edition stands out, together with C. Forcadell and I. Saz, of Discursos de España en el siglo XX (Valencia, 2009). Prof. Salomón has also addressed the Catholic political cultures in Spain of the first third of the twentieth century and the gender implications that presented the clericalism-anticlericalism conflict in Spain of the first third of the twentieth century. About it, she has also co-edited with Mª Cruz Romeo and Nuria Tabanera the books De relatos e imágenes nacionales. Las derechas españolas (siglo XIX-XX) (Zaragoza, 2020) y Católicos, reaccionarios y nacionalistas. Política e identidad nacional en Europa y América Latina contemporáneas (Granada, 2021).
