PHD in Contemporary History at the University of Valencia. He analyzes the Spanish nationalist narratives of right-wing political cultures during the Transition in a transnational perspective, as well as their echoes throughout the democratic period.
In this line, Lopez is addressing the study of both changes and continuities in the conception of national history (as well as its representations, symbology, myths…) of these political cultures and their materialization in their political discourses, in a context of crisis of deep legitimacy, where they had to adapt to a new political framework while trying to deal with the remnant of forty years of exercise of despotic power during the dictatorship.
