Doctor in Contemporary History with international distinction by the University of Cantabria (2021). Currently, Vicenzini is researcher Margarita Salas at the University of Valencia under the direction of Julián Sanz Hoya in the scope of the project on Francoism, gender and nation of the Hiscucon group. His work focuses on the one hand on the study of the cultural origins of neoliberalism, and on the other on the analysis of the political use of the past in fascism and early Francoism. In the last year, Vicenzini is focusing his research on the recovery of fascist and Franco myths by the extreme right Italian and Spanish in the era of authoritarian neoliberalism, and on the manipulation of the national past in Trump’s United States and Putin’s Russia.
